Protecting the Place We Call Home

Every land use decision should respect property rights, preserve our rural character, and reflect the values of the people who call this county home.

What I've Heard

One of the things I've heard most often is that people care deeply about the future of Warren County. Some want to protect family farmland that's been passed down through generations. Others want to see thoughtful growth that creates opportunities for our children and grandchildren. Many simply want confidence that major decisions about land use will be made carefully, openly, and with meaningful public input.

While people may have different perspectives on specific projects, they share something important in common: they want Warren County to remain a place they're proud to call home.

I believe that's something we can all agree on.

My Perspective

I've lived in Warren County my entire life. I've watched our communities grow, change, and face new opportunities. I've also seen how deeply connected people are to this land. It's more than acreage or property lines — it's family history, livelihoods, and the character of our county.

As a Fire Chief, I've seen every corner of Warren County. I've traveled its back roads, responded to emergencies in its neighborhoods, and met families in every part of the county. Those experiences have given me a deep appreciation for both the beauty of this place and the people who make it special.

I don't believe every land use decision is easy. That's exactly why those decisions deserve thoughtful discussion, careful planning, and a willingness to listen before acting.

Good decisions aren't rushed. They're made with respect for the people who will live with them for years to come. Some issues deserve more listening than talking. Before making decisions that affect families, businesses, and future generations, I want to understand the facts, hear from the people most affected, and consider the long-term impact on Warren County.

Good leadership isn't about having every answer on day one. It's about asking the right questions before making decisions that matter.

What This Means for Warren County

Growth is neither something to fear nor something to pursue without careful planning. Our responsibility is to grow wisely.

That means respecting private property rights while recognizing that land use decisions often affect neighbors and entire communities. It means balancing economic opportunity with preserving the rural character that makes Warren County unique.

Most importantly, it means making decisions that reflect a long-term vision rather than short-term pressures. The choices we make today will shape the county our children inherit tomorrow.

Did You Know?

County Commissioners help make decisions about planning, zoning, and land use policies that influence how Warren County grows over time. These decisions can affect housing, agriculture, business development, transportation, infrastructure, and the overall character of our communities.

Good planning is about more than maps — it's about creating a vision for the future.

Looking Ahead

I believe Warren County can embrace new opportunities without losing the qualities that make it feel like home. That won't happen by accident.

It will happen through thoughtful planning, respectful conversations, and leaders who understand that today's decisions become tomorrow's legacy. My goal is to help ensure that when future generations look back, they'll see that we cared enough to plan wisely.
